Mission and Values
As citizens of the Nipmuck community, it is our Mission and Sacred responsibility to honor and uphold the culture, language, and values of our ancestors and their descendants. We strive to ensure a better quality of life for our citizens, today and in the future, by working to serve the needs of our people and the next seven generations.

Our Values
Connection to Nature
Like our ancestors before us, we share a profound respect for the natural world, viewing it as sacred and interconnected with human life.
Agriculture and Connection to the Earth
We emphasize the importance of closeness with nature and reverence for the earth and all its creatures. We believe that it’s important to teach future generations about the benefits of growing and planting food, hunting and fishing and to appreciate the food that the earth offers.
Community and Family
We are a community based on three major family lines and are working on reaching out to our community to enhance the ties within our community and our families.
Cultural Heritage
We value our cultural heritage and are working on ways to further embrace our traditions, stories, and practices to be passed down through generations, preserving the identity and values of our Nipmuck band.
Through the years we have worked diligently to preserve our culture and will continue on our efforts of revitalization. We continue to actively pursue our goals of food sovereignty, indigenous land stewardship, land preservation, and the cultural and artistic revival of our ceremonies, arts and traditions.
