Women's Woodland Regalia: From Hide to Dress
Norcross Wildlife Sanctuary
This hands-on leatherworking workshop introduced participants to the process of creating a wearable buckskin dress using traditional hand-sewing techniques. Throughout the day, students learned foundational skills including pattern layout, leather cutting, stitching, fringe application, and finishing techniques. This workshop was designed for beginner to intermediate makers and was limited to 20 participants to ensure personalized instruction, hands-on learning, and individual support. Skins were provided free of charge to participating Nipmucks.
